Firestorm 2000 (sometimes just Firestorm, or Firestorm: The Wildland Fire Simulation) is a forest fire simulation game. Rather it's a forest fire fighting simulation. Your job is to coordinate both ground and air based forces to fight fires by giving them directions. Air crews can drop fire retardants while ground crews fight to stop the spread more immediately. The game's display is pretty basic, and I'm not knowledgeable enough to know if this game simulates the spread of fires accurately or not. But it has a lot of options you can set, and since it runs in real time, it does convey the urgency of the mission more than a turn-based simulation would.
